Career and Performance Coaching
1 What is Career and Performance Coaching ?
In this highly competitive world, you face several challenges in your lives – be it career, or in office, or in our personal lives. You want to perform at your optimum best, or you have goals that you have to meet and do even better - for instance, a sales-executive wants to surpass his/her targets, a project manager needs to complete the project within the given time and budget, a college student needs to get those marks that he/she is striving for, some are looking for promotions in their current job, some are looking for a change in job or even their career, while some need support in handling change in their role or environment, and so on.
You are putting in a lot of effort, but you know that something is missing and you need to do more. A common mistake that people make is that, it is enough to learn new skills that are required, and the rest will follow. However, this is so incorrect and that is the reason that most goals fail. There is infact a need, to make a change in your behavior and habits if you need to achieve your goals. There is a need to look internally within you and ask yourself some important questions such as, what is really stopping you from making the progress, what beliefs are coming in the way, what is the behavior that you need to change, and many more.
You get into ‘stuck states’ and this is not really helping you in anyway. You want someone you can rely on, who can guide you to overcome these challenges. So what do you do ? Whom do you ask ? Everyone needs a sounding board, someone who will listen and provide valuable feedback and helps to clarify issues and concerns.
This is where a Coach would help you.
Professional Coaching brings about a fresh perspective on personal and professional challenges, identifies and removes those mental-blocks in your life that is holding you back, taps into your full potential so that you are able to make better decisions for yourself and the business, able to achieve goals on time, and improved productivity.
2 What is the Coaching pattern and the period of time to completion ?
It can involve multiple Coaching sessions, and the number of sessions will depend on the Goal that is set and the target it needs to be achieved within. This will be mutually decided in the first session. In our experience, this is usually between 12 to 24 sessions, one session per week.
First Session: This session will be around 45 to 60 minutes.
Second Session onwards: This session will be around up-to 45 to 60 minutes.
3 Is the Coaching done on an individual or group basis ? Also, how is confidentiality being maintained ?
Coaching can be done either on a one-on-one individual basis, or with a Group.
For Group Coaching, we usually recommend this to be done in smaller numbers, i.e. up to 6 to 8 people or even smaller, for maximum results.
Your coach is certified by ICF (International Coaching Federation), and all the ICF coaching guidelines and strict confidentiality are adhered to, during and after the coaching is over. Infact, a non-disclosure agreement is signed with the client for this purpose.
